Richard initiated the development and launch of Medilink SW in April 2012 and is currently Chair of the Board of Directors. In 2008 he launched the Institute of Bio-Sensing Technology, UWE with Prof Janice Kiely and in 2018, together they launched the Health Tech Hub.

Simon is Managing Director at P3 Medical. He brings with him a wealth of experience from within the medical technology sector. Simon’s experience running an SME will also ensure that the Board is representative of the wider industry and help us understand the needs of all our members.


Cheryl Scott | Board Director

Industry and Innovation Lead, Health Innovation West of England

Cheryl has an academic background in microbiology, immunology and pathogenicity and a varied career in the health technologies and life sciences sector, which started out in diagnostic sales. She set up and ran a pioneering business in sales and distribution of laboratory equipment, before moving into business innovation and developing a keen interest in disruptive technology.

Allan is a highly experienced Quality Consultant and director of ALP Quality Consulting. Prior to setting up the consultancy in 2019, Allan spent more than 30 years in the Semiconductor sector, covering all areas from product concept through to product obsolescence - including design, manufacturing, subcon management and customer support. Leading teams in the UK, USA, Israel and Sweden, his experience includes medical, telecom, automotive, industrial and military market segments.

Jeremy Davies | Board Director

Director of Knowledge Management, Campden BRI

Jeremy holds board positions at the University of Gloucester Student Union and Feeding Tomorrow Foundation. Originally from a Manufacturing and Enterprise-Wide Resource planning software background. Jeremy was previously Commercial Director at Campden BRI, a Research and Technology Organisation working in the Food and Drink science sector.

Prior to that; he helped to design, develop, set up and then run an electronic publishing business in the veterinary sector. He is now the Director of Knowledge Management at Campden BRI.
