'A Digital Future for the Health and Lifesciences Sector was held 6.00 - 8.30pm, Monday 4th November 2019 at Paintworks Bristol 

The evening was held as part of the Bristol Technology Festival  by the Health Technology Hub, the Health Tech Accelerator Programme & Medilink South West.

We heard talks from Richard Luxton and Alex Leach, with updates on the Health Tech Hub, The Health Tech Accelerator Programme and the West of England AHSN. We heard about E-Map innovations from ESL Cloud Solutions Founder and Chairman, Russ Cole. Russ developed this latest project in collaboration with Dr David Western at the Health Tech Hub's Living Laboratory facility. Learn more about these facilities here. We enjoyed a brilliant & engaging talk from Speechtools founder & director Sam Brady, with additional overview from software engineer Garry Brady. Speechtools apps are used in Speech Therapist clinics and in people’s homes across the world. We then heard about Huw Griffiths ‘ project Virtual Reality Mindfulness Intervention, Dr Caz Icke ‘s digital therapy innovation, Sole Sense & Dr Jacqueline M Barnett's work on digital detection for the Cocoa Crisis. Alex Leach provided us with an overview of the opportunities & support available with the West of England AHSN whilst Jo Bangoura talked us through the hyvr project. Learn more here.
